Paradox Junction doesn't really "ramp up" so much as it snaps at you once the rounds get moving, and by the time you're thinking about your damage numbers, you're already behind. If you're trying to speed up your setup without burning points, the Floating Head side quest is one of the cleanest power spikes on the map. I've seen people practice routes in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby buy session just to get the timings right, because the reward is worth the muscle memory: a Purple Aether Tool and a free Pack-a-Punch crystal that's usually Tier 2.

What you need before you touch the head
Don't waste time looking for the trigger early. It won't cooperate until you've made it to Round 14 and you've pushed past the Nuketown section. The other hard requirement is having the Blundergat fully built and actually in your hands when you start. If you're planning ahead, Wisp Tea helps you stay on top of the chaos, and the Zombie Sitter augment can save a run when the soul-feed steps start stacking spawns. You can do it without them, sure, but it's the difference between "tight" and "messy."

Starting the quest in the Green House
Head to the Green House and go upstairs. There's a wooden bookcase up there, and on the floor in front of it you'll spot a mannequin head with a clown mask. Interact with it and it'll lift off like it's got a mind of its own. From here on out, don't overthink it—just follow. It'll drift outside and snap onto a mannequin, kicking off the first soul box. Purple-eyed zombies will mix into the wave; those are your targets. Drop them close to the mannequin so the souls register, and keep the area controlled until the mannequin finishes charging and the head breaks away again.

Second and third mannequins, plus the payout
Step 1 is the front area of the Yellow Garage—same deal, same purple-eyed priority, and it's easy to get greedy and chase kills too far. Stay near the mannequin and let them come to you. Step 2 is upstairs inside the Yellow House, where the last mannequin waits. Space is tighter here, so don't be afraid to reset the room with the Blundergat when things clump. When the final charge completes, a purple dimensional rift opens in the middle of the room; interact with it and you'll get your Aether Tool and that free PaP crystal, which can flip your whole mid-game into a high-round pace.
